In an effort to assist some of our members who are unable to avail of our coaching programme during the day because of work commitments, the committee have agreed an initial one month trial period where those members concerned will be allowed to use their leisure category to book a court in the Dome or Park Street for 2, 3, or 4 members at any time of the day and invite one of our coaches along to coach that particular group.

The trial period is specifically for those members who genuinely wish to receive some coaching, but are simply unable to avail of this during working hours. Our head coach Louise will keep a record of each invitation to a coach by each group during this time.

The coaching team are constantly trying to find ways to help our large membership in whatever way they can, and with increased requests for coaching from some of our members who are unable to participate in this facility during the day, we feel this is another way in which our coaching team are able to assist.

For your additional information, Peter Bothwell has taken up an offer to be travelling coach to Panna Udvardy, a Hungarian top 120 world ranked WTA player for 3 weeks at WTA tournaments in Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay from Monday 2nd. November. This is a great opportunity to receive valuable coaching experience at this level of competition, which can then be fed back to Sam, Will and Louise. The coaching classes involving Peter will be covered between Sam/Will and/or Louise during this period.

As a club, we are truly fortunate to have such a great group of coaches, and this latest initiative is another example of where they are able to help and encourage another group of members, to both improve and enjoy their tennis in the process.
